Completed June 19, 2017 — a memorial to a departed pet commissioned with two requirements: fairy wings and proper anatomy for a vigorous gentleman rat. The idea first surfaced in March but the quest for suitable wings added a couple of months to the process; these are from Burning Sphinx Studio.

The bracelet was a surprise all round: he “saw” the beads in the trinket-bits box and chanted “Gimme gimme gimme” till he had a set for himself.

Fairy Rat has a home of his own, of course, but you can write to the Salamander if you’d like to discuss the creation of someone similar for yourself. Be warned, though — attaching bits from other artists turns out to be a seriously nontrivial task....
