Creature 216: Hedgehog 5
This little lady employs a wild teasel head – a species related to fuller’s teasel but with soft straight spines instead of hard hooked barbs around the seeds. (You don’t see hooks on the other hedgehogs ’cuz I snipped them off before adding the wool.) A web of wool again holds the teasel to the armature, making a much furrier effect because the gaps between the rows of spines are less distinct and the spines themselves are softer, so they don’t fight the wool as much.
