Originally completed August 29, 2018, as an attempt at full realism – but to the artist’s eye didn’t seem right for portraits at a bio restoration site. So another salamander was prepared (without consulting the prospective sponsor), and this one waited here.

After a day in the sun (October 13), her wax-soaked skin turned dark and shiny, much more like the real thing: a jewel of serendipity requiring the new pics here now. (The last in the series is from the original set.)
