Completed April 5, 2021, this week-old Osprey chick is destined for a Golden Gate Audubon fundraiser. If you’d like to try to adopt it, check out on the association’s Birdathon page (after May 1 this year).

This fine young predator is already committed to the auction winner, but you can write to the Salamander if you’d like to discuss the creation of a fierce chick for yourself. (But note that there may never be another Osprey – it turns out that they mature fast and strangely, and it will take a lot to bring the species to the workbench again.)
