Completed June 12, 2010, as muse and mascot to the Feltworks. A being of pure light and fire, the Salamander was well over a week on the felting bench—each stripe is an individual work of art, and the flames (made of wool and silk) were rooted in little clumps at the end of the process.
The Salamander belongs to the Salamander, but you can send e-mail if you’d like to discuss the creation of something similarly fanciful for yourself.
